Bernard is a an award-winning TV and film director, as well as a creative director, executive producer, producer, with over 30 years experience, whose productions have won many international awards. He started as a graduate trainee at the BBC where he spent 21 years. After which he formed his own company Aqua Vita Films. His speciality is wildlife, nature and people documentaries. He is also made short dramas and worked with scriptwriters in the creation of full feature movies.
His innovative and imaginative approach has been central to his work ethic and success. He has worked as a director in a variety of productions from live studio and events to a wide variety of factual programmes, including high-end natural history documentaries and series for prime-time BBC ONE, BBC TWO, BBC FOUR, Channel FIVE and international broadcasters such as National Geographic Channel, Animal Planet, Nature (WNET/PBS) Smithsonian Channel and Terra Mater. He has worked with great talent, like Sir David Attenborough and Kevin Spacey, as well as many others. His decades of experience brings a fresh and original approach to making films, pushing boundaries and style.
